If you have a young person who would like to join one of the Scout Groups in Cole Valley South District then please complete the form opposite and a member of the team will get back to you with more information. We accept children from as young as 4 years of age. We offer a wide programme of indoor and outdoor activities that caters for the child’s age through a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic team of Adult Volunteers, all of whom are vetted.
If you are 18 years of age or older and would like to volunteer to help in one of the Scout Groups in Cole Valley South District then please complete the form opposite. We welcome applications for any particular Scout Group that suits you, and we have a variety of roles. You could be a Section Leader, Group Scout Leader, Sectional Assistant or Occasional Helper in either Beavers, Cubs, Scouts or Explorers. Alternatively, you may want to be behind the scenes in one of the important Group Executive roles such Group Chair, Group Secretary or Group Treasurer. The choice is yours. You may be interested in a District role or in Scout Active Support which supports Groups, the District and the County in a variety of different ways using specific skills you may posses.
Cole Valley South District, Birmingham has 19 Scout Groups and 8 Explorer units, covering the south eastern quarter of the city and includes Acocks Green, Balsall Heath, Billesley, Bournville, Hall Green, Kings Heath, Kings Norton, Moseley, Selly Park, Sparkhill, West Heath and Yardley Wood.
Scout Groups have all or some of the Scout Sections operating on a weekly basis:
Squirrels – 4-6 year olds
Beavers – 6-8 year olds
Cubs – 8-10½ year olds
Scouts – 10½-14 year olds
Explorers 14-18 year olds
